Today's timetable changes Saturday 25 January

Do not travel to or from London on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January

There will be no trains to and from London King’s Cross on the 25 and 26 January because of Network Rail track upgrade work. We strongly advise you DO NOT TRAVEL TO OR FROM LONDON.

There will be no trains south of Peterborough for connecting travel. For more information, click here.

Planned engineering works on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February at London Kings Cross

Engineering works are taking place at London King’s Cross on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February. Trains are expected to be busy we recommend reserving a seat and checking before you travel.

No trains to / from London Kings Cross on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January

Engineering work is taking place in the London Kings Cross area, closing all lines to / from London Kings Cross.

Great Northern and Thameslink:

No trains will run between London Kings Cross / Moorgate / London St Pancras International and Stevenage / Hitchin / Peterborough, and customers are advised not to travel.

Trains between Brighton / Horsham and Cambridge / Peterborough will run between Brighton / Horsham and London Bridge only.

Trains will run between Hitchin and Kings Lynn.

A limited bus replacement service will run in both directions:

  • Peterborough and Hitchin (calling at all stations).
  • Hitchin and Potters Bar (calling at all stations).
  • Stevenage and Enfield Chase (calling at all stations).
  • Potters Bar to Oakwood (via Hadley Wood and Cockfosters).
  • Hatfield and St Albans.
  • Hitchin and Luton Airport Parkway (via Stevenage).
  • St Neots and Bedford.

Grand Central:

No Grand Central services will run on Saturday or Sunday. Grand Central will not provide any alternative travel options.

Hull Trains:

A reduced and diverted service will run between Hull and London St Pancras International.

LNER:

No LNER trains will run between Peterborough and London Kings Cross, and customers are advised not to travel.

Ticket acceptance:

Tickets will be accepted:

  • On Greater Anglia services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street; and Hertford East and London Liverpool Street.
  • On London Overground services between Cheshunt, Enfield Town and London Liverpool Street.
  • Between High Barnet and Moorgate on the Northern line
  • Between Cockfosters and Kings Cross St Pancras on the Piccadilly line.
  • Between Euston Square and Liverpool Street on the Circle, Hammersmith & City & Metropolitan lines.
  • Between Finsbury Park and Kings Cross St Pancras on the Victoria line.
  • On London Buses.

Project Information:

London Kings Cross station currently carries 33.8 million passengers per year, and is a major hub for both local and long distance train services. Major upgrade work will take place, upgrading and simplifying the track layout around the station for the first time in 40 years. Two new lines will also be added, increasing the number of services that can run to / from the station, as well as allowing for faster train services.
