Upcoming disruption information

Find out if industrial action and planned engineering work could impact your journey

Last updated: 30 November 2023

We are pleased to hear that members of the RMT union have voted in favour of a pay deal that will end the ongoing strike action of customer facing staff at LNER and other train operators.

Our customers are reminded that industrial action is still scheduled to go ahead at LNER on Saturday 2 December and at other train companies between 2 and 8 December. Upcoming strikes are by members of drivers' union ASLEF and therefore are not affected by the deal accepted by RMT members.

On Saturday 2 December LNER will run a reduced timetable between Edinburgh and London and Leeds and London. Trains for this day are back on sale.

On Sunday 3 December, due to planned engineering work, there will be no trains to or from London King’s Cross. If travel is essential, bus replacements are in place, but with extremely limited availability and will take considerably longer (approximately 120 minutes). Trains for this day are back on sale.

Between Friday 1 and Saturday 9 December, there may be some short notice cancellations as unions take action short of strike. Please check your entire journey before you travel.
