Win the Ultimate 2026 Mercury Prize Experience!

The competition closes at 23:59 on 6 October 2026.

There is one prize available, consisting of two First Class return tickets for travel on LNER services between any LNER calling stations.

The First Class Return Tickets prize must be taken by 2 January 2027.

LNER travel is subject to availability and excludes peak travel dates: 9 to 18 October 2026 for journeys to/from Scotland only, 25 October to 2 November 2026, and 12 December 2026 to 2 January 2027.

The winner may be required to consider alternative travel dates if their first date is fully booked or if engineering work or strike action is taking place.

It is the responsibility of the winner to arrange their transport to and from LNER calling stations and between attractions. Any additional costs incurred during the trip must be covered by the prize holder - this includes train journeys to and from non-LNER calling stations. Promotional codes for up to two First Class LNER return tickets will be supplied via email upon acceptance of the prize by the winner. Travel must then be booked by the winner by visiting Claim your prize (lner.co.uk) and the promotional codes should be entered in the promotional codes box. It is the winner’s responsibility to keep the promotional codes safe, as these cannot be reissued.

The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash or prize alternative available. LNER reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond LNER’s control make it necessary to do so.

Booking confirmation of the Hotel Indigo Newcastle reservation will be supplied via email upon acceptance of the prize by the winner.

The winner will have the choice between a standard king room or a standard twin room at Hotel Indigo Newcastle.

On arrival at the Hotel Indigo Newcastle, the winner will be asked to provide a credit card for any additional charges incurred during their stay.

The Hotel Indigo Newcastle reservation is for use on 22 October 2026 only.

The Hotel Indigo Newcastle reservation is non-transferable, and for the use of the winner and their guest only and cannot be resold or exchanged.

Winner will be randomly selected from the database of entrants who enter.

LNER will notify the winner by email within 5 working days after the closing date, using the email address registered when entering the prize. Winner will have a further 5 days to accept the prize before another prize winner is randomly selected.

This competition is open to UK residents over 18 years of age. The winner’s guest must also be over 18 years of age.

Attendees at the 2026 Mercury Prize must be above 13 years of age. Those aged 13 – 17 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.

Employees and family of LNER, BPI, Indigo Hotel Newcastle or any agencies connected with the set-up of this competition are not eligible to enter.

LNER is not responsible for invalid email addresses being registered on the competition form.

One entry per person only, excluding LNER perks members who are eligible for two entries per person.

LNER Perks members do not need to enter twice, they will be automatically have their name entered into the competition draw twice.

To receive two entries, you must enter the competition with the email associated with your LNER Perks account.

If you're not already a LNER Perks member, you must join LNER Perks before the competition end date of 23:59 on 6 October 2026 to be eligible for two entries.
