Travelling in a group of 3-9 people?

You can save 20% on your Advance tickets when you book together with our small groups discount.

• The discount is automatically applied to your booking when you have between 3 and 9 people travelling with you and you're buying LNER Advance tickets

• You can pick which seats you want using our interactive seat map when you book

• Great news! If you make a group booking, we’ll seat you all together

We'll help you find the best deal. All you need to do is contact our Group Travel using this contact form.

Why book your trip through the Group Travel team?

• Save 22% on your booking in groups of 10-19

• Save 17% if your group size is 20 people or more

• You'll get discounts on London underground tickets

• Your group will be able to sit together with reserved seats (wherever possible)

If there are enough empty seats together, we'll do our best to seat you together. If you book your tickets or reserve your seats individually then you’ll be given separate seats.

You can choose your own seats in your account.

We don’t have limitless space onboard so here are some tips on what will fit comfortably on our trains.

Please Note: We only allow three items per person. A maximum of one large suitcase, a carry-on bag and small handbag can be brought on board.

Yes. Groups of 3-9 can be booked on the LNER website and app and will automatically receive a 20% discount (where available). Groups of 10+ can be booked by contacting our groups team.

We have two types of group discount:

1. The Small Group Discount is for groups of 3-9 passengers. You can save 20% off your tickets. This is automatically applied when you book tickets on our website lner.co.uk

2. Groups of 10-19 can also save 20% but must have a minimum of 10 passengers and you must all travel together for the tickets to be valid.

Groups of 3-9 can be booked on our website and will automatically receive a 20% discount (where available).

• Groups between 10-19 will get 20% off our best available Advance tickets for the number of people travelling, plus any additional railcard discount (if applicable).

• Groups of 20+ will receive a 15% discount off our best available advance purchase fare for the number of people travelling, plus any additional railcard discount (if applicable)

If one of your group is no longer travelling their ticket is covered by our normal terms and conditions.

If one or more of your group is no longer travelling and requests a refund and this brings the total number of travellers to below three, the remaining travellers will have to pay an excess to make up the difference in the discounted price.

For customers who chose an eTicket as their fulfilment method, you will need to cancel all of your tickets and rebook at the full price of travel.
