LNER To Put Photography In Focus In An Exclusive Experience Event
23/09/21
London North Eastern Railway (LNER) is proud to announce its first ever Photography Experience Event, offering enthusiasts and budding photographers an exclusive opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business, as they zoom at 125mph onboard an Azuma train along the East Coast route.
The special Experience Event on Saturday 23rd October 2021 will see day trippers departing on the 09:00 service from London King’s Cross to York. As well as enjoying the best in LNER First Class hospitality during the journey, award-winning and internationally acclaimed professional photographer Charlotte Graham will be sharing top tips and some of the tricks of the trade, providing inspiration for the photographers who will be able to discover and explore the sights of historic York before returning to London later in the day.
Charlotte’s dynamic style and creativity have earned her a reputation in the national media with her work regularly published in leading broadsheets and magazines.
This is the latest Experience Event hosted by LNER and is one of many ways the company is welcoming back new and existing customers to rail. York is less than two hours from the capital on regular services with LNER. The rich heritage and iconic landmarks of the city make it the perfect venue for the inaugural LNER Photography Experience Event, with York Minster, The Shambles and Clifford’s Tower among the sights to visit. The event comes as LNER works in partnership with Visit York to help attract more people to the city.
Kate McFerran, Communications Director at LNER, said: “At LNER we are passionate about our destinations and our legendary customer experience. Our pioneering Experience Events make memories. Whether you’re a budding photographer or fancy a visit to York to see the sights, we can promise this will be a day trip to remember.
“Customers will travel in style on our new Azuma trains and enjoy a breakfast offer served at their seat before getting the chance to explore a stunning city that is really close to our hearts, as York is the home of LNER. They’ll have a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best photographers in the business and the chance to showcase their own work and get feedback from Charlotte on the return journey. We’re also going to be on the lookout the best image of the day.”
Those taking part in the experience will depart York on the 16:03 LNER service, arriving at London King’s Cross at 18:32. Tickets for the event are limited and customers are advised to register their interest early by visiting: https://www.lner.co.uk/the-east-coast-experience/experiences/photography-experience-day/
Tickets cost £195 per person and include return train travel in First Class onboard an LNER Azuma. Customers will also receive an exclusive goodie bag.
