A message of condolence from LNER12/08/20
The thoughts of everyone at LNER are with our industry colleagues at ScotRail and Network Rail Scotland after today’s tragic incident involving a ScotRail service at Carmont, near Stonehaven, which has sadly involved a loss of life.
Our condolences and prayers are with the crew and passengers on the train, their families and friends, and with the emergency services who have responded to the derailment.
Colleagues from LNER have been supporting ScotRail throughout the day in responding to the incident.
We are currently unable to operate services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen as well as between Edinburgh and Inverness.
