Borough Market overview

There has been a 'Borough Market' near this site since 1014, and it's occupied this same spot for the last 250 years.

Today, the market is home to over 100 stalls, food stands, restaurants and bars covering a gamut of British and international flavours:

  • Fruit and vegetables

  • Meats and seafood

  • Beers and wine

  • Cheese and nuts

  • Ice cream and gelato

  • Honey and condiments

  • Cakes and pastries

  • Coffees and specialty teas

  • Kitchen tools and tableware

  • And even a barbers!

Borough Market is usually open from 10am until 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed all-day Monday.

How to get to Borough Market station

Although Borough has its own Underground station, London Bridge is actually the closest (and quickest) Borough Market train station to aim for.

Here's how to get to London Bridge from all of London's other railway terminals - we recommend adding in a 5-minute buffer to any travel times to account for unexpected crowds or gaps between trains!
