LNER Offers Free Travel to Veterans and Serving Military Personnel Attending Remembrance Services

LNER are proud to offer free return travel to serving military personnel and veterans who are attending Services of Remembrance across the country.

Those who are attending the Submariners’ Remembrance Service in London on Sunday 3 November 2024, can travel for free on LNER services to any London terminal station, including London King's Cross, on either Saturday 2 or Sunday 3 November, returning on Sunday 3 November.

For those attending the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday 10 November, the train operator has extended the dates of travel further. Veterans and serving military personnel can now travel for free on any LNER service to and from London King’s Cross Station between Friday 8 and Monday 11 November.
Free return travel is also available to those attending services outside of London on Sunday 10 November.

LNER recently unveiled its new livery, ‘Thank You’, recognising those who have served and continue to serve. Wrapped in a poppy design, Azuma unit 800111 will travel the East Coast Main Line as a poignant reminder of those who gave their tomorrow for our today.
