LNER Champions Collaborative Catering With New Summer Menu

LNER has announced its First Class menu for summer, which sees three of its local suppliers working in collaboration for the very first time on a new dish.
A special ‘Railway Curry’ celebrating Bradford as UK City of Culture 2025 also features on the menu.
From today (Wednesday 11th June 2025), all four LNER First Class complimentary onboard menus are serving up new dishes. Dine, Dish, Deli and Brunch options offer a wide choice, with menus differing depending on which service customers are travelling on.
A variety of ‘firsts’ for LNER are among the additions, including a ploughman’s grazing box which sees three local suppliers working together. The box from Middlesbrough’s ‘On a Roll’ features a hog roast pork pie from fellow North Yorkshire supplier The Original Baker, and a caramelised onion chutney from York’s The Fruity Kitchen.
The Bradford UK City of Culture 2025 ‘Railway Curry’ is also expected to be popular and comes just weeks after the introduction of additional daily LNER services between the city and London King’s Cross. The vegan curry, which can be enjoyed on Dish and Dine services from lunchtime, is an Aloo Gobi Channa Masala served with pilau rice and a mini selection of poppadoms.
Waffles with maple syrup will feature on the Dine menu for breakfast, alongside the already popular ‘Full LNER’ and ‘Full Veggie LNER’. The waffles will also feature on the Dish menu alongside a strawberries and cream yoghurt and a custard Danish pastry.
Customers joining after breakfast can savour the new cheesy barbecue chicken croque monsieur, ploughman’s grazing box, or a Caprese wrap with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil. A summery salmon fillet served with roast potatoes and hollandaise sauce is among the choices on the Dine menu.
