      If you want to relive the spirit of the London 2012 Olympic Games or you’re attending an event at the London Stadium, you’ll need to get to London Stratford station. Below you’ll find information on how to get to the Olympic Park & London Stadium, along with some help tips for your visit.

      Where is London Stadium?

      The London Stadium, formerly known as the Olympic Stadium, is located south of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The stadium is now home to West Ham Football Club and is easily reached by public transport.

      Travel to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by Tube or Train

      The nearest train station to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is Stratford (London) which is served by National Rail services operated by Greater Anglia, c2c, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and London Underground Jubilee and Central line services.

      LNER trains arrive at London King’s Cross, so getting to Stratford Station is fairly easy with multiple tube lines you could use.

      Option 1: Take the Circle line to Farringdon before changing to the Elizabeth line to Stratford

      Option 2: Take the Hammersmith & City to Liverpool Street before changing to the Central Line or National Rail services to Stratford

      Option 3: Upon arriving at King’s Cross Station, walk to St Pancras International before boarding a National Rail service to Stratford International Station.

      Travel to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by bus

      Both Stratford Bus Station and Stratford City Bus Stations are located close to Stratford Train Station where you can get a bus straight to London Stadium in 12 minutes.

      How to get to the London Stadium from Stratford station?

      Upon arrival at Stratford station, the quickest way to get to the London Stadium is by bus which takes 12 minutes. Or you can walk by following the signposted routes which takes around 15 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus reserved for disabled visitors.

      In addition to the Olympic Park, Stratford Station is also connected to Westfield shopping centre, meaning there is a variety of additional food and drink options available for anyone attending events or football matches at the London Stadium.

      Top tips for visiting the London Stadium

      1. Get there early, there is so much to see and do around the stadium take your time looking around and exploring.

      2. Visit the ArcelorMittal Orbit, a giant sculpture with an observation deck and slide, located near the stadium and offers incredible views of London.

      3. General admission turnstiles are open 1 hour and 30 minutes before kick-off and we recommend getting there early to avoid long queues.

      4. Away fans sit in the southwest corner of the Trevor Brooking stand and should enter the stadium at turnstile D.

      5. There are lots of food and drink options available at the London Stadium but alcohol is not permitted within view of the pitch.

      What else can you do at the Olympic Park?

      While visiting London Stadium why not take advantage of all the other activities Stratford has to offer. There are several other Olympic stadiums within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park including Lee Vally VeloPark and the Aquatics Centre. Westfield Stratford City is only a short walk away and is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe with shops, restaurants and a cinema.
