How to spend your credit
Once you've joined LNER Perks, you can spend your £5 joining bonus right away (or save it for a rainy day).
Plus, each time you travel with LNER for work, you can claim your 2% credit.
As you build credit, you can choose how and when you spend it. Use your credit to get money off your leisure LNER train journeys or you can even gift it as an eVoucher to a family member or friend.
You can spend your credit on any LNER journey from the LNER mobile app. You can pay for part of a journey or save it up until you can pay for a full ticket. It's your credit and the choice is yours.
Booked elsewhere?
Earn 2% back, even if you booked your ticket through a third party.
If you didn't book direct with us this time or your company has booked your tickets on your behalf, don't worry you can still benefit from LNER Perks.
You can add your tickets through the LNER mobile app by scanning your ticket's QR code, inputting your collection reference or uploading your eTicket.

You can join LNER Perks by visiting LNER.co.uk/perks or by downloading our LNER mobile app. You’ll need to sign into your LNER account or create a new one, then click to join LNER Perks.

Yes, if you’ve already booked your tickets, you can earn the 2% credit if you join the LNER Perks loyalty scheme within 48 hours of purchasing your tickets. All you need to do is create an LNER account and join LNER Perks.

Yes, you can benefit from LNER Perks if you’re a Season Ticket holder, based on the following:
Season Tickets must be purchased through LNER.co.uk (desktop website and mobile website) or the LNER mobile app
The Season Tickets meets the following qualifying criteria:
The Season Ticket is a weekly, monthly or annual ticket
The journey covered by the Season Ticket is made between qualifying starting and destination stations and is ‘Route: Any Permitted’. See the eligible routes here
The Season Ticket is a full price adult ticket (excludes Child tickets)

Can I still get the 2% earned credit if I don’t book direct with LNER?
Yes, if you’re on our trains, you can earn 2% credit. You’ll need to download our LNER mobile app, join LNER Perks and follow the process for importing your ticket, using your barcode or ticket collection reference. You’ll be able import your journey using an eTicket, using your ticket collection reference if you collected at the station, or using the barcode on a paper roll ticket.
You can import tickets provided you meet the following criteria:
You must be a member of LNER PERKS at the point that ticket is added
Be valid for travel on a LNER train (whether for the whole journey or just part of it)
Have a travel date no more than 7 days prior to the date of the ticket being added to LNER PERKS
Not have been previously added to the scheme
Not have been sold online through lner.co.uk (desktop website, mobile website) or the LNER mobile app
Not have been refunded
You must have made a seat reservation for the ticket at the point of booking
You must not have previously added more than one other ticket with the same travel date
You must not have added more than 15 tickets in the last 7 days
You must not have added tickets with a combined cost of over £1,000 in the last 7 days

All LNER journeys are eligible for the earned credit, whether you’re travelling on LNER for all or part of your journey.
Can I gift my LNER Perks credit to someone else?

Yes, you can gift your LNER Perks earned credit to friends or family by changing your credit into an eVoucher. You’ll need to have a minimum of £10 earned credit to be able to buy a gift eVoucher with your Perks credit and you can only spend this eVoucher on the LNER mobile App.
