National Rail companies need you to continue to follow the latest advice from government and public health officials. As we move into the next phase of the nation's response, there will be more people needing to travel by train and we need your help to keep services clear for those who need them the most.

Before you set out please ask yourself if your journey is essential. If it is please cycle, walk or drive if you can.

If you really have to travel by train: please try to travel off-peak, keep a 2-metre distance from others, use a face covering, and carry hand sanitiser or wash your hands.

Answers to the common questions that you are asking about train services, and details on refunds, can be found on our dedicated Coronavirus page.

Please note that the timetables have changed for many operators from Monday 18 May onwards. Click on the links below to find out more information from each Train Operating Company:

Waiting rooms and Ticket Offices:
Please note that most waiting rooms at stations have now been closed for public safety. We have also closed a number of Ticket Offices, or reduced their opening times. Times on the station information pages may not match up to the current opening times.

Check before you travel
You are advised to check the Journey Planner as close to your time of travel as possible as timetables may be subject to late notice change.
