Disruption between Aberdeen and Dundee until further notice

ScotRail between Aberdeen and Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street and also between Inverurie / Aberdeen and Montrose

Details

All lines remain closed between Stonehaven and Montrose as the emergency services continue to work at the site of the derailed train near Stonehaven.

As a result of this, no trains can run between Stonehaven and Montrose. There is currently no estimate for when the line will fully reopen.

ScotRail:

Amendments to service:

  • Trains are running between Aberdeen and Stonehaven, calling at Portlethen.
  • Trains are running between Montrose and Edinburgh (Monday to Saturday) and between Montrose and Dundee (Sunday).
  • Buses are running between Aberdeen and Dundee. Please note: due to social distancing on replacement buses, capacity is extremely limited.
  • Trains that usually run between Aberdeen and Glasgow Queen Street will be amended to run between Dundee and Glasgow Queen Street only.

 

LNER:

Trains will not run between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Replacement road transport is running between Aberdeen and Edinburgh in both directions. Buses should connect with train services, please speak with station staff for more information

CrossCountry:

Trains are unable to run between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Rail replacement buses provided by CrossCountry will operate between Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh in both directions.
