Disruption between Aberdeen and Dundee until further notice

All lines remain closed between Stonehaven and Montrose as the emergency services continue to work at the site of the derailed train near Stonehaven.
As a result of this, no trains can run between Stonehaven and Montrose. Trains between Aberdeen and Glasgow Queen Street / Edinburgh may also be cancelled or revised.
There is currently no estimate for when the line will fully reopen.
Amendments to service:
- Trains between Aberdeen and Glasgow Queen Street will only run between Dundee and Glasgow Queen Street
- Trains between Aberdeen and Dundee / Edinburgh will not run
- Trains between Inverurie / Aberdeen and Montrose will not run
- A shuttle train service will run between Aberdeen and Stonehaven, calling at Portlethen, and some will extend to start / terminate at Inverurie or Dyce
- A shuttle train service will run between Arbroath and Dundee, and some will extend to start / terminate at Edinburgh
- A limited stop shuttle train service will run between Montrose and Edinburgh (Monday to Saturday) and between Montrose and Dundee (Sundays)

It's critical that passengers take personal responsibility for their travel choices and follow ScotRail's 5 rules for safer travel when using the railway. This includes wearing a face covering at all stages of your journey with ScotRail - in station and on train. If your journey isn't necessary, you should consider all alternative arrangements.
Rail replacement transport is running between Aberdeen and Dundee. Buses will be operated by Merlin Travel, First Aberdeen, Watermill Coaches, Kineil Coaches, Eazy Coaches and Ratho Coaches.
Please note: due to physical distancing on replacement buses, capacity is extremely limited.
Trains will not run between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Replacement road transport is running between Aberdeen and Edinburgh in both directions. Buses should connect with train services, please speak with station staff for more information
Trains are unable to run between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Rail replacement buses provided by CrossCountry will operate between Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh in both directions.
