How do I make a request for information under the Freedom of Information (FOI) or Environment Information Regulations (EIR)?
LNER is classed as a public authority and therefore subject to the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and the provisions of the Environmental Information Regulations (2004). This means that you have a right to recorded information that we hold. Anyone can request information – there are no restrictions on your age, nationality or where you live. While we may on occasion refuse to provide certain information, this will be limited to where the law allows such as if disclosure will mean LNER breaches its obligations under the Data Protection Act (2018).
