Which journeys/ticket types are available for mobile ticket?
Mobile tickets are available for the majority of tickets between stations we serve as well as selected destinations in the north west.
Where do I find my mobile ticket(s)?
Open up the Ticket Buddy app and sign in to your account. You'll find your tickets under 'Current Tickets'. If the travel date has passed, you'll be able to see your tickets under 'Previous Tickets'.
What if my mobile ticket isn’t downloaded?
We send tickets directly to your registered mobile device. If you have any problems try relaunching the app first, or get in touch with Web Support on 03457 225 333.
Why can’t I buy tickets using the LNER Ticket Wallet app?
We've had the same thought. At the moment, the Ticket Wallet app is just a way to deliver mobile tickets. But we're working to enable ticket purchase, train running information and more on this app in the future.
How do I activate and use my mobile ticket?
Mobile Tickets (m-Tickets) are delivered straight to your registered mobile device and show on your day of travel. You can access them by Signing In to our LNER Ticket Wallet app, using the same username and password as the LNER website. You'll find tickets valid for travel in “Current tickets”. Don't forget to make sure that your mobile device is charged up, working and showing the correct date and time as you'll have to show the ticket on your device during the journey (so the barcode can be scanned).
All mobile tickets need to be activated before you board the train. LNER Advance tickets are activated automatically for you, as they are for a fixed date and time. But if you have a Flexible m-Ticket, you'll need to activate it yourself. This needs to be done before you start your journey to show us which service you'll be using and on which day. Just open “Current tickets” and select the ticket you want to activate and click “Activate ticket.”
How do I transfer my ticket(s) to another device
You can manage what devices you hold tickets on by logging into My Account on the website and clicking on 'Registered Mobile Devices' under My Bookings. If you don't have your registered mobile device anymore, you can remove that device and register a new one, then transfer your tickets to it.
How do I change my mobile ticket?
Mobile tickets (m-Tickets) have all the same terms and conditions as paper tickets, so have a look if you can change your ticket here. If it's an Advance ticket, just log into 'My Account' and follow the instructions.
How do I claim Delay Repay with a mobile ticket?
Please note: Delay Repay from the mobile app isn't currently available due to a technical fault.
You'll find a claim form on the app itself. Select “Delay Repay” from the Ticket Buddy app menu and choose the ticket you want to claim for. Enter your journey details so all you need to do is tell us the length of your delay and the service you travelled on, where relevant, then submit your claim. We'll send you a confirmation email once we've got your application.
