Do pass holders need to reserve seats?

Yes. You will need a free seat reservation for each journey you make with LNER. This includes all pass types including guest, status, active and retired safeguarded passes.

A free seat reservation can be made in advance or up to five minutes before a train’s scheduled departure and can be cancelled should your plans change.
