Reporting

We proudly presented our first ever *Responsible Business Report last year. It shows our starting point, sets the scene and gives us a baseline from which to grow and improve. We will update this report annually to share our journey progress.

Our report

Since we presented our first Responsible Business report in 2019 it has become even more important that businesses act with the best interest of our customers, communities and the planet we share, to protect each other and minimise our impacts. Our second report builds on the first, and demonstrates how far we have come in a year that has been unprecedented for us all.

Benchmarking

We are continually seeking to improve and therefore have chosen to benchmark our performance using the Business in the Community (BiTC) Responsible Business Tracker.

Business in the Community is the oldest and largest business-led membership organisation dedicated to responsible business.

Their role is to inspire, engage and challenge members and to mobilise that collective strength as a force for good in society to:

  • Create a skilled, inclusive workforce today and for the future
  • Build thriving communities in which to live and work
  • Innovate to repair and sustain our planet

By collaborating with this external expertise, we can be sure that our approach is fair, transparent and independently assessed. BiTC are also able to guide us on how we can go further on our Responsible Business journey, learning from other participating brands and looking for opportunities for us to excel in our own sector.

More responsible business

Business with Heart

Responsible stewardship of the environment we operate within will reduce future risk from resource scarcity and climate change, and ensure we are complying with legislation and playing our part in meeting national and global challenges.

People with Heart

Our people are our most valuable asset. We will promote good work for all and create an inclusive culture where everyone regardless of background can access employment and thrive in the workplace.

Places with Heart

We will prioritise our community investment activity on the social issues that have the greatest impact on our communities and business, working with charity and community partners to maximise our impact and make a measurable difference.
