A first meeting with his wife-to-be

Love was in the air for LNER Customer Experience Host Ryan O’Donnell when he met his future wife, Hayley, during a shift on the East Coast Main Line in 2019, merely four months into the job. Starting off on the right track, Ryan and Hayley frequently worked together, helping customers on their journeys to London. After a spark blossomed, Ryan took extra shifts to spend more time with her.

Their love story went full steam ahead and, just before lockdown, they moved in together. In July 2021, Ryan proposed, and they became husband and wife the following summer.
