Our partnership with FareShare North East
FareShare North East is one of 17 independent groups that make up the UK’s largest national network of food redistributors, FareShare UK.
Together they are working to fight hunger and tackle food waste and you can help fight hunger too.

Why FareShare North East?
FareShare North East redistributes good-to-eat surplus food, from food retailers and manufacturers, to over 230 front line charities and community groups across the North East of England. Each week they help community groups support over 24,000 vulnerable people.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a dramatic rise in demand for help. FareShare North East’s food redistribution increased by almost 400% and levels has not subsided since.
As a cause that operates within our communities, working with thousands of vulnerable people across the North East region, LNER is proud to support FareShare North East and their mission to fight hunger and tackle food waste.
Here's how you can support
During the COVID-19 pandemic, LNER partnered with FareShare in a bid to support our communities by donating up to 5,000 sandwiches each week.
